Annual Plant Sale Committee

The Annual Plant Sale Committee plans and conducts an annual plant sale fundraiser, typically held in May. They organize the fundraiser to include advertising, arranging venue location, solicitation of donations, etc.
Ask-A-Master Gardener Coordinator

The Ask-a-Master Gardener Coordinator provides for an LCMG presence at various events such as garden shows, local farmers’ markets, and conferences. LCMG members answer questions from the public about gardening and/or about the Master Gardener program. They also organize yard calls, as requested by the UW Laramie County Horticulture Educator, and field gardening questions submitted to the ask@lcmg.org email address. Master Gardener hours may be counted as educational (aligned toward the LCMG Objective to educate youth and adults in horticulture).
Bare Root Fundraiser Committee

**Seeking 2027 Committee Chair** The Bare Root Tree & Shrub Committee organizes the LCMG's Spring Fundraiser. The committee typically becomes active in August when trees and shrubs are selected and ordered. In January, online sales open for public pre-orders. In late April or early May, nurseries ship bare root trees & shrubs to the LCMG & this committee organizes the distribution of the plants to customers. Any plants that do not sell online are brought to the in-person Annual Plant Sale and sold there.

The Bylaws Committee is a standing committee that activates at least every 2 years to conduct a review and recommend improvements to the LCMG Bylaws and Policies & Procedures (P&P). The next planned review is in 2028.
Cheyenne Rotary Park Committee

The Cheyenne Rotary Park Committee coordinates LCMG's civic beautification partnership with the City of Cheyenne at Cheyenne's Rotary Park, located at the intersection of Powderhouse Road and Dell Range Boulevard.
Davis Hospice Garden Committee

The Davis Hospice Gardens Committee oversees LCMG's civic beautification and educational outreach at the Davis Hospice Garden located at 6000 Sycamore Road in Cheyenne, WY. They incorporate landscape stewardship and coordinate educational gardening programs for hospice residents, staff, visitors & volunteers. Committee activities generally occur from March/April (planning) through October (weather permitting).
Demonstration Garden Committee

The Demonstration Garden Committee is a standing committee overseeing the LCMG Demonstration Garden located south of Airport Court, east of Airport Parkway. The committee guides LCMG's civic beautification partnership with the Cheyenne Regional Airport through regionally-appropriate landscape stewardship and organizes gardening-related educational presentations for the general public during the gardening season.
Fall Bulb Fundraising Committee

The Fall Bulb Fundraising Committee selects bulbs to offer for sale, collects orders and prepares the orders for customer pick-up. This sale is usually held in late August or September with bulb delivery in October. The committee becomes active in July when bulbs are selected and again when bulbs are distributed in October. The next Fall Bulb Fundraiser will occur in 2025.

The Financial Review Committee is a standing committee that conducts an annual examination of the organization's financial records and procedures to verify accountability on behalf of the membership. The committee is typically active starting in January and concluding shortly after reporting a review summary at the first membership meeting of the second quarter. They may also convene upon election of a new Treasurer or as directed by the Executive Board.

The Programs Committee is a standing committee that plans educational programs at membership meetings (typically Jan-Apr, June, and Sept-Nov) and other member events.
Rose Committee

The Rose Committee is primarily active in preparation of the Annual Plant Sale. They select a variety of roses that can survive the harsh Wyoming climate, procure the plants, and arrange for the sale and distribution of roses at the Annual Plant Sale.
Seed Library Committee

The Seed Library Committee collaborates with the Laramie County Library in maintaining the Seed Library of Laramie County, a joint project started in 2017 between the LCMG and the Laramie County Library System. This committee supports library-hosted presentations and workshops for beginning gardeners several times a year and makes seeds available at no cost to the public. The Seed Library of Laramie County is housed at the Laramie County Library. Beginning in March 2025, seed libraries are now open in the Cheyenne, Pine Bluffs, and Burns library branches of the Laramie County Library.

Speaker Series Committee

The Speaker Series Committee organizes the lectures & workshops by finding speakers for the series, setting event dates, and providing event oversight & management.

The Webmasters maintain the LCMG Website (www.lcmg.org). They also provide Domain Name assistance to the LCMG Secretary's administration of LCMG's Google Workspace; and to the LCMG Treasurer's administration of electronic payment platforms.
Youth Education Committee

The Youth Education subcommittee works with Laramie County organizations to bring gardening experiences to children and young adults. Members of this committee have the option of working directly with children and/or helping maintain gardens at the Jefferson Road location of the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne (elementary age students) and at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (teen garden). The partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne has been ongoing for 10 years as of the summer of 2025. The Youth Education subcommittee also provides programs for classes within the Laramie County School District and other groups upon request.
